Recomendations from LinkedIn

David Mielke, President & CEO of ChemDesign Products,Inc., "I have worked with Kirt for over 6 years and he is an excellent chemist with an intuitive understanding of chemistry and equipment from the bench to 1000's of gallon reactors. Kirt is detail focused and can "dial-in" to any audience. He understands molecular functionality and its impact on material properties. Kirt has the tools to design a molecule to meet an application plus take it to commercial scale. I have enjoyed working with Kirt and he is definitely one of the best multidisciplined chemists in the industry."

Grady Bergen, Patent and Trademark Attorney - Griggs Bergen LLP, "I have worked with Dr. Clark in obtaining several chemical-related patents over the years. Dr. Clark has a good working knowledge of chemistry and the patent process and was able to provide technical advice and initial drafts of patent applications that included the content and types of information that facilitated the examination process and resulted in the allowance of each of his patents. I highly recommend him and look forward to working with him in the future."

Equipped for Chemical Consulting: 39 Years of Broad Experience

Kirtland P. Clark, received a Ph.D. in Physical Organic Chemistry from Brown University in 1971. After doing contract research on Flame Retardant Sleepware finishes for two years, Dr. Clark joined Ciba-Geigy Corporation at the Cranston, RI plant site as a Senior Development Chemist. During 1973/1974, Dr. Clark developed an optimized procedure for the manufacture of a key fine fluorochemical intermediate (Lodyne 920). After 36 years and multimillion pounds production per year, Ciba (BASF) continues to use the same manufacturing procedure.

Dr. Clark gained chemical and product R&D experience working in Pharmaceuticals, Plastics and Additives (P&A), Dyestuffs and Chemicals (D&C), fine Fluorochemicals, and Fluoropolymers. On multiple occasions, Dr. Clark took on short term special projects to solve complex production problems for the P&A, Pharmaceutical, and New Products Venture Groups. In each case, Dr. Clark successfully determined the cause of the production disruptions.

Dr. Clark continued taking advanced courses at Ciba-Geigy, completing studies in Production Engineering for Chemists, Project Management, Strategy of Experimentation, and Supervisory Skills Training (Instructor), TSCA/PMN writing, and Intellectual Property Protection.
